From Hoxton Square, Columbia Road Flower Market and Brick Lane outwards, there is not much of Shoreditch our engineers have not been called to. We work Hoxton, Clerkenwell and Islington alongside Shoreditch, so the van is usually already in E1 rather than the other side of London.
Integrated slimline dishwashers, washer-dryers, induction hobs and built-in combination microwaves. Which is why the van heading to Shoreditch is loaded for ovens before it sets off. Whatever the layout, the engineer gets to the oven without taking your kitchen apart.
These are the oven faults that come up week in, week out across Shoreditch.
The electronic clock has locked the oven out after a power cut. Sometimes a reset, sometimes a failed timer module. Very common on built-in ovens.
Blown grill or oven element — one of the most common oven faults. We carry elements for all major brands.
The door lock motor or its microswitch has failed, so the oven refuses to begin a self-clean cycle it cannot lock the door for.
Failed fan motor or fan element — we replace and test the full fan assembly.
A grill or fan element breaking down to earth. It trips as soon as that element comes on, which makes it easy to pin down.

Book before midday and a same-day Shoreditch slot is often still open.
The parts that fail most on ovens ride with the engineer, so plenty of E1 jobs finish first time.
Choose the window that suits you and pay up front. That figure covers the visit, the diagnosis and the labour on your oven. Parts are never inside it and are always quoted to you separately.
Shoreditch and the E1 streets are regular ground for us, Congestion Charge and all — the zone is already priced into what you paid, so nothing lands on top on the day.
We check the elements, the thermostat and its sensor, the fan motor, the door seal and hinges, and the selector switch and timer. Worth five minutes before we arrive, if you have them: have the oven cold and empty, and know roughly when the fault started — intermittent or from cold makes a real difference to the diagnosis.
If it is in E1, EC2A, an engineer covers it. Oven repairs, same day where the diary allows.
Just outside Shoreditch? The same engineers cover the areas around it.
Our engineers live and work across East London rather than running out of one central depot, so a oven job in E1 is normally a short hop. For genuine emergencies — leaks, burning smells, a freezer going soft — we aim at a two to four hour window where the day allows.
Give us the code when you book your Shoreditch slot and the engineer sets off knowing roughly what to expect. We work with the F-codes and sensor faults used by Neff, Bosch, AEG and Smeg. A code is a symptom, not a diagnosis, so the engineer still tests the oven properly before anything gets fitted.
Your price is fixed once you book it, but it is not the same for everyone — it varies by day, by arrival window, by same-day or Sunday, by postcode and by brand. Whatever it comes to for your slot is shown before you pay, and it covers the call-out, the diagnosis and the labour on the oven. Parts are quoted separately.
Seven days, evenings and bank holidays included. Those oven slots are priced differently from a Tuesday morning in E1, and as ever the figure for the window you pick is on screen before you pay.
Separately from the labour, always. The van carries whatever fails most often on ovens, which is why a lot of E1 jobs finish first time. Anything that has to be ordered gets priced for you before it is fitted, and only goes on once you say yes. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty; our labour carries twelve months.
No. We are electric-appliance specialists and we are not Gas Safe registered, so gas work has to go to a Gas Safe registered engineer — that is the law, not a preference. If you have a dual-fuel cooker, the electric oven, grill and controls are all ours; the gas burners are not.
Booked the same way and priced the same way, right across the E1, EC2A postcodes.
About a minute online: the oven, the fault, your E1, EC2A postcode, your slot. The price is on screen before you pay.
